Expert Pipe Repair in Tacoma, WA

Fast, reliable pipe leak and burst-pipe repair for Tacoma homes and businesses. Veteran-owned plumbers, clean work, clear pricing.

Finding The Leak Before It Finds You

Most pipe failures give warning first: a bill that climbs, a damp patch, pressure that drops off. We locate the problem properly before opening anything up, so the repair stays as small as the fault actually is.

If the pipe is failing along its length rather than at one point, our whole-home repiping team can take it from there.

Solving The Most Common Pipe Problems

What we are called out to, and what each one usually turns out to be.

Hidden Leaks

Rising bills, damp patches and a meter that moves with everything shut off.

Burst Pipes

A failed line actively damaging floors, walls or ceilings and needing immediate work.

Low Water Pressure

Pressure that has dropped off, often corrosion narrowing the bore of older pipe.

Corrosion & Discolored Water

Rust-colored water and galvanized pipe rusting from the inside out.

Banging Or Rattling

Water hammer, or pipe that was never strapped properly, loosening joints over time.

Recurring Damp Or Staining

Stains that return after decorating, which means the source was never found.

How A Pipe Repair Actually Goes

Locate first, then open only what we have to.

1

Locate The Fault

We narrow down the source before cutting anything, so access is as small as possible.

2

Repair Or Replace The Run

A single fault gets a section repair. Pipe failing along its length gets replaced.

3

Test And Make Good

The repair is pressure-tested and the area left clean before we leave.

Protecting Your Plumbing System

What keeps pipe trouble from becoming pipe damage.

Know Your Shut-Off

Find it before you need it. In an emergency it is the difference between a wet floor and a wet house.

Watch The Water Bill

An unexplained rise is often the first sign of a leak you cannot see yet.

Act On Small Signs

Stains, damp smells and dropping pressure rarely resolve themselves.

Pipe Repair Questions

Hidden leaks, burst pipes, and when one section is not the whole story.

How do I know if I have a hidden pipe leak?

A water bill that climbs without a change in use, a warm patch on a floor, musty smell, or the meter still creeping when everything is off. Any one of those is worth investigating before it shows itself through a ceiling.

What should I do about a burst pipe right now?

Shut off the main, open a low tap to drain the line, and keep people away from anywhere water is near electrics. Then call. That sequence limits the damage more than anything else you can do in the first ten minutes.

Can you repair just one section, or do I need a whole repipe?

One failure in otherwise sound pipe is a section repair. Repeated failures in the same run, or pipe that is corroding along its length, is where a repipe stops being the expensive option and starts being the cheaper one.

Why do my pipes make banging or rattling noises?

Usually water hammer, the shock when a valve closes fast and moving water has nowhere to go. Sometimes it is simply pipe that was never strapped properly. Both are fixable and neither should be ignored, because the shock loosens joints over time.

What causes pipes to corrode in older homes?

Galvanized steel rusts from the inside out, which narrows the bore and discolors the water long before it leaks. Copper can pit where water chemistry or high velocity works against it. Age plus material tells us most of what to expect.

Will you need to open a wall to reach the leak?

Sometimes, and we locate first so the opening is as small as it can be. We would rather spend the time narrowing down the spot than cut a wide access and hope.

Is a slab leak repaired differently?

Yes. Under a slab the options are re-routing the line, or opening the concrete at the leak. Which makes sense depends on the pipe’s condition overall, and we will lay out both with prices rather than deciding for you.

Is a pinhole leak worth repairing on its own?

It depends what caused it. A single mechanical nick is a repair. A pinhole from corrosion usually means the rest of that run is the same age and condition, so it is worth knowing before you fix one spot and meet the next one shortly after.
